Short, because there is not much to say. If any of it stops being true, this page changes with it.

There is no account
You do not sign in. No username, no password, no profile.
Two
There is no server of ours
Nothing you do in the app is sent to us. We never see your contacts, calendar, notes, photographs, what you listen to or what you read.

No analytics, no SDKs
No crash reporter, no product analytics, no advertising identifier. On the iPhone, nothing embedded from anybody else; Android is below. Outbound requests are ones you start: a feed, an episode, a page. Map tiles go to Apple as part of MapKit.

Sync is your iCloud
Switch it on and small records travel through your iCloud, not ours, and so do the photographs you take in the app if you switch them on. There is a switch per kind of thing, and photographs start off. Recordings stay on the phone that made them.

Your files are your files
Notes are plain text. Voice memos are .m4a. Photographs and music you dropped in live in folders you can open over USB or in Files.

Permissions
Every permission is asked for by the screen that needs it. Refusing one breaks nothing else. 1bit sends you no notifications of its own. The one exception is a phone where alarms were refused: a timer there falls back to an ordinary notification, and asks first.
Seven
On Android
The same rules, with Google where the iPhone has Apple. Sync, if you switch it on, travels through a hidden folder in your own Google Drive, and so does the day your trial began. That date is also kept in Google's Block Store, a few bytes held with your Google account so a reinstall remembers when the trial started. Android's own backup, if it is on for your phone, copies the app's settings and files to your Google account the way it does for every app. The purchase goes through Google Play, and Google Play's own library reports its diagnostics to Google. A rating box, if one is ever shown, is Google Play's.
The map is drawn from OpenFreeMap's tiles. A place search, and directions, go to Geoapify with your position, so it can answer with what is near you, or to LocationIQ when Geoapify cannot answer. Podcast searches go to Apple's podcast directory, and words typed into the browser's address row go to DuckDuckGo as a search. Nothing else leaves the phone except the feeds, pages and episodes you open.
Eight
Deleting it
What 1bit keeps on the phone goes when you uninstall it. On Android, what sync carried stays in your Google Drive until you delete it, and you can do that yourself: open Google Drive on the web, go to Settings ▸ Manage apps, find 1bit, and choose Options ▸ Delete hidden app data.
To stop 1bit reaching your Drive at all, remove it in your Google Account under Security ▸ Your connections to third-party apps and services.
